It all started with a zipper.
Growing up as poor as he did, whatever meager food he managed to squirrel away was never enough. His old man would sooner spend whatever money he made on booze instead of groceries for his own son. The fast metabolism he was born with didn't help maintain whatever weight he had managed to gain either.
So when Lightning slipped on one of his only pairs of jeans to head to Flo's with Doc, he realized something.
The zipper was stuck.
Well. Fuck.
(Lightning enjoys eating Flo's delicious food a little too much in Radiator Springs. He handles it okay- as in not handling it well at all. Thank God for Doc.)

“May I take your orders, sirs?” the small imp asked as he walked back up to their table, standing at attention. Angel glanced over towards Husk, hoping he would get the cue about going first. He was planning on basing his order on whatever the other man got.
“Could I get your bone-in ribeye? Rare.” Husk finally said, passing his menu over to the waiter. The waiter nodded, then everyone’s attention was on Angel. He felt his mouth get drier. The ribeye was right on the upper end of the price range. He didn’t know how much lower would be appropriate to go from there, how much smaller. Did he have to pick one of the fucking steaks too?

Angel and Husk go on their first date, a surprise date from Husk at a steakhouse. Which would be great, if Angel's relationship with food wasn't totally fucked.
