And then they got separated and Wade was all the way across the room, far out of reach, and being shoved to the floor by at least eight people, and they were being shot at by special guns and then everything went dark.
He was going back. He was going to get him back now, and if they hurt Wade, he swore to any god willing to listen, all bets were off. How dare they.

Summary
Once every month, at the behest of the universe, soulmates swap bodies with the closest friend of their other half.
