Summary
In the wake of restoring balance between his world and Jeong Tae-eul's, Lee Gon has spent every possible moment seeking the door that will finally lead him back to her. He never considered the possibility that others might be able to access the place between worlds until he encounters Lee Eun-ju. She looks like his cousin Se-jin, but this version knows a rifle better than a scalpel and a field report better than a case study. As she takes refuge in his world, Lee Gon finds Eun-ju largely ignorant of the culture they are meant to share. In her world, the nation is a colony of Japan and the royal family has lived in exile for generations, their identity lost to a century of imperialism and forced assimilation. Lee Gon never wanted to be a teacher. Lee Eun-ju never wanted to be a queen. Revolution is brewing, however, and together they must make the last dragon of the Lee dynasty the leader her people need if Chosun is to regain its freedom.

Summary

Summary
We know of the sons of Denethor II, Steward of Gondor, and his wife, Lady Finduilas of Dol Amroth. We know of Boromir, the eldest, brave and honorable until his death. We know of Faramir, the second, noble and intelligent leader of the Rangers of Ithilien. In contrast, Rimiriel, third-born of the House of Hurin, was happy to live a quiet life in service to her country, void of glory or reknown. When the Shadow of the East invades Gondor on a quest to rid the world of Men, however, Rimiriel finds herself thrust into a position of influence as she is given the task of seeking aid from the Rohirrim for the severely outnumbered armies of Gondor. As the war to save Middle-Earth rages, Rimiriel must consider the idea that a quiet life is not what fate has in store for her. After all, a rose cannot bloom in the shade.
