Ruth is a spunky, headstrong, and a little problematic teenage girl in the first century, and the last year for her has been like walking through Hades.
First, she woke up one day and her hand went numb, and has NEVER GOTTEN UN-NUMB! Well, there goes her one hobby of sketching! Yippee! Then, her abba made her and this random old man get BETHROTHED! Ruth can't take it anymore- she just has to run away. (and steal her dowry, but that's a different story.)
Then, she meets this Rabbi, and He changes her life. Which is weird, because up until five seconds ago she thought God hated her. Eh, might as well go along with this group of slightly strange adults and see what happens, right?
And oh boy, a LOT happens.
(In other words, the entirety (hopefully!) of the Chosen series from the perspective of a teenager.) -

Instead of reluctantly sending him on his way when Viper insists on getting back to his race without getting a CT, Meredith flirts him into a promise to come back after the race is over. When it turns out that bantering with him is a lot of fun? Well, who can blame a girl for flirting with a hot boy? (Derek Shepherd, actually).
Because the way Viper looked at Meredith when she was snarky was so ridiculously appreciative, it felt worth exploring. With a few tweaks to make him kissing her a mutual thing.
