Regardless, it’s amongst the litter of cardboard boxes and plastic IKEA wrapping scattered around him that Yosuke suddenly understood a fundamental truth that had been apparent within him all along.

The realisation hit him quite literally too - the wooden surface of the coffee table that he had been putting together slipped from his hand and struck him on his foot.
