A ficlet collection exploring multiple fandom ships/characters to the theme of the couples' meme: "Would you still love me if I was a worm?" Kind of a silly idea I had for myself to write for fun.
Intended ships to explore: CatCrow, Payneland, Cryland, Palasaki, CricketCrow, Catwin, Montwin, CatFinch, possibly more. (Will add to tags as I add chapters to keep it relevant.)
Some worm explorations will be verbal, some more literal with the supernatural circumstances of the show.

“Nope!” she says with the most convincing smile she can muster. “Totally fine here! No help required.”
The boy huffs a little laugh, leaning against the doorframe in a way that makes Niko suddenly understand the appeal of public hook-ups. She has to clench her fists at her sides to avoid dropping to her knees right then and there. “You sure ‘bout that, love?”
“Yep! Totally sure!” Niko says, grabbing the door with more force than is strictly necessary. “In fact, I'm, like, super busy right now,” she lies as she begins to shut the door, “so you really should get going.”
“Wait! Hold on just a tick,” Charles exclaims as he swiftly stops the closing of the door with his elbow. “So you're telling me you didn't accidentally dose yourself with sex pollen from Dr. Night's love potion lab?”
The girl blinks owlishly back at him in response. “No. Because that would be very, very bad.” Belatedly, she adds, “Right?”

“How about that one?” said Charles. He was pointing to a human-presenting figure with a fedora hat and a furry jacket. “David. Doesn’t sound like a criminal’s name.”
Edwin looked up at him from behind his lashes. “Should I remind you that we are also on this website?”
“Well, at least we don’t wear a fedora hat,” retorted Charles, and Edwin had to agree with that. If you had to be an outlaw, you could at least do it with a certain style.
Edwin tapped twice over the image to expand the details of the case. “They are offering one million tickets. Almost as good as me.”
“I swear sometimes you sound proud when you say that.”

In an ever expanding Universe enforcing law is tricky. The Human Intergalactic Organisation introduced a system of rewards to encourage everyone to do their part in finding criminals and bringing them to their planet for trial. This had the unintended consequence of creating the new career of the Bounty Hunter which, for its nature, became especially popular for those living outside of society, for whom other sources of outcome are unattainable.

The corridor they walked down was carpeted, quiet in the way hotels were always quiet, the sound insulated and the air too close. Their room was right at the end, and Charles took a deep breath and let it out as he pressed the key to the reader, waited for the little whir and click and green light, and pushed the door open wide.
