Summary
Buck doesn’t know much about Eddie — just that he shows up once a month for a haircut, sits still, smells like cedar, and never once asks for anything different.
They don’t talk much. But over time, something settles between them anyway — a quiet kind of trust, built in forty-five-minute intervals under fluorescent lights.
Then Buck finds out Eddie’s a barber too.
And suddenly, he has to wonder what, exactly, he’s been giving — and what Eddie’s been letting him believe.

Summary
Eddie shifts his weight a few times. “What does that mean?”
This could go a lot of ways. If this is Buckley, and Eddie’s pretty sure it is, it could lead to him hanging this over his head, trying to get sex out of it, and honestly – Eddie’s slept with people for less. And Eddie could do, has done, a lot worse.
He would hate being strong-armed into sex, but he’s been strong-armed into it before, and this guy, well, it’s not like he hasn’t thought about it.
“Um,” is all the answer Eddie gets.
And then there’s this meandering, endless pause, where the guy stands there and just… stares at him. Eddie can’t decide if it’s awkward or if they are slipping back into creepy. “What’s with the staring?”
“Sorry!” Sleeves immediately jerks his eyes away, then scratches the back of his head before he looks back at Eddie and snaps away again. “It’s just – uh, it’s weird, seeing you, um, without the…”
Eddie raises an eyebrow. “Handcuffs?”

Eddie works at a strip club, and Buck's a very frequent customer.

Summary
He’d shoved the envelope into his pocket, fingers tightening around it like holding it too carefully might make it more real. Around him, everyone else slipped out quietly, one by one, each of them clearly ready or at least willing to face whatever Bobby had left behind for them.
But Eddie stayed seated, and he was the last to leave.
Not because he needed more time, but because he already knew he didn’t want to read it.
He couldn’t read it.
Or; After Bobby’s death, everyone at the 118 receives a letter he wrote before he passed. Eddie gets his and overwhelmed by guilt and grief, he doesn’t open it right away. Instead, he spirals, goes out, drinks too much, hooks up with a guy, and loses the letter.

Summary
I slept with Buck, he imagines saying out loud. To Bobby, probably. Bobby gives good advice, always listens carefully, like it matters. Doesn't judge, at least not out loud.
Gave. Bobby gave good advice. Bobby is never going to look at Eddie across the big table at the station loft with a faintly amused expression on his face while he tells Eddie something that Eddie deep down already knew.
I slept with Buck. I don't know what to do.
Bobby would raise his eyebrows and say, Well, maybe you should talk to him.
