Summary
It’s been a year since Varian has been in prison. His cell is confined and he is poorly fed, but isn’t it what he deserves after kidnapping the Queen and putting Corona in a thick fog, essentially trapping him.
Now he is fifteen years old. Someone who doesn’t hate him, had come to reclaim him from prison; claiming to be his mother.
One thing becomes another, and he finds himself living with his woman he doesn’t know - and definitely knows is not his mother, as she is long deceased.
All he wants is to save his father, but he finds out something horrid and gut-wrenching. And now, he focuses on tarnishing the reputation and destroying Corona.
Secrets are revealed, and everyone’s lives are ruined. But it’s all worth it in the end for revenge.

NOTE: Takes place during S2. Mostly everything from this is from Varian’s perspective- though he is still the villain of the story. This is more or less a character study, and I do add three new characters into the story that are not established in canon.No magic exists, or technology. Alchemy is still used as it is science, and Rapunzel's hair is still very, but had no magic or “sun drop.” Beware of plot holes, plus I haven’t watched season 3.
