Summary
Loving Edwin was the easiest thing in the world. Charles got so used to it that he could sometimes go months without thinking about it, until Edwin did something kind or charming or literally just stood there catching the light in exactly the right way, and it would hit Charles all over again, like getting socked in the face. It certainly made for some interesting decades together.
Or: Charles falls first. Edwin falls harder. Surprisingly little changes.

Summary
Charles has never been one for drawing, except for the doodles he used to do in detention. Yet, in Edwin, he finds a muse. He can't bring himself to create a whole portrait; Charles could never do him justice. So he focuses on the little things instead.

Summary
Charles never manages to convince the Night Nurse to let him rescue Edwin.
Edwin spends the next 54 years running. By the time he finally makes it out of hell, he is not sure if he still has a place in Charles' afterlife. Surely Charles has long since moved on.
Meanwhile, Charles spends fifty years trying to make deals with demons, making friends with a shapeshifer and going slightly insane. Aces, right?
