Bruce froze. The words echoed in his skull. Grandmother?
Tim was next to react. “Who?” he blurted, the question half-startled, half-intrigued.
Damian’s scowl deepened. “Are you deaf, Drake? Grandmother is coming to Gotham to, quote, make sure I am being properly cared for.”
Bruce felt a twitch at the corner of his jaw. His mind raced. Ras has… a partner in the picture? Not that it mattered, of course—Wayne family dynamics were already… complicated.
Dick crouched slightly, trying to bring himself to Damian’s level. “She—”
“He,” Damian corrected, sharp as a blade. “He is coming. Not ‘she.’”
Or,
No one expected Damian’s grandmother to be hot enough to cause a collective Wayne family breakdown.
Or for Bruce to recognize him as that Danny — the League assassin he used to have a very inconvenient crush on.

"Bet you think about it all the time."
Marcus snapped. His head whipped toward Cedric so fast it was a miracle he didn’t give himself whiplash, his dark eyes blazing with barely-contained fury. “I hate you.”
Cedric barely held back a grin, pleased beyond words. "No, you hate that I’m right."
And from the way Marcus scowled, sharp and violent, Cedric knew—he was.
