The only non-28 date I'll ever post a 28 fic on - 11/04 is the anniversary of the loops for Shouta and Izuku, and it's not fun :)~
No matter what he does he only sees the shatter and swell of a broken cheek bone, of an eye that is closed but he knows would be blank if he could see it, because nobody can be bent backwards over a solid wall at that angle and survive. It's odd how someone taller than him, mature and steady and strong, suddenly looks so much like a child. Are those the broad shoulders of a man, a hero, or are they the still-slim shoulders of a teenager?
They are both, perhaps, but always too much of a child for Izuku to ever think of anything else when that vision assaults him.
Through it all, there is a heavy, cloying smell lodged in his throat. It is salt water and burning wood and iron, sharp, acidic, ferrous. It is death. There's a certain quality to it, something he doesn't know how to quantify. Izuku knows that no matter how times he showers or throws up or tries to override the scent, he'll never be free of it. Not really. He can smell it, even now, blinking reality over the top of his flashbacks.
Izuku needs to get out. He needs to go now.

It's been ten years since Rose and the Doctor were left on Bad Wolf Bay, and life is good. Until, that is, they both wake up on the TARDIS, with no idea how they got there, and no idea how to get back home.
Amy and Rory are used to things going wong: it's a side effect of travelling with the Doctor. But they're not used to things going so wrong that the TARDIS seems to have called in reinforcements from across the multiverse.
And the Doctor?
He's nowhere to be found.(Takes place post-Journey's End for Rose and Tentoo, between Dinosaurs on a Spaceship and A Town Called Mercy for the Ponds and Eleven, and during her time in Stormcage for River. As canon-compliant as I could make it.)

She takes two slow, miserable steps forward towards the place the TARDIS had been just moments ago. She reaches out into the cold, feels the vast expanse of air. There isn’t even a glimmer of warmth where the Doctor had stood, where he’d vanished into the TARDIS. She hadn’t even seen him go inside.
The air is cold under her fingers and gives her nothing in response. No touch, he’d said years ago. It feels the same, now.
“He’s gone,” she whispers more to herself than anything. “He’s really just—gone.”
“Rose...” the Doctor says from behind her, voice soft and gentle and apprehensive and she just—can’t. If she knows the Doctor at all—and until ten minutes ago she was pretty certain she knew him better than anyone, though she still can’t quite reconcile the Doctor she thought she knew to the one who willingly left her on this beach again—she knows he’ll be reaching out for her, longing to comfort her, to soothe away her aches. That is, of course, if this new Doctor is anything like the Doctor she thought she knew. She thinks he might be. That makes it worse, in a way.

“There once was a ship that was put to sea. The name of that ship was a Billy of Tea.” Izuku mumbled along as the light changed, allowing him to cross the road. He wondered what the future was like, he wondered what was going to happen to him. Izuku wanted to know if he’d spend more time with his mom.
Izuku huffed before stuffing his hands into his sweatshirt. Cars blew past him as he walked into the apartment complex. The wind blew up, causing leaves and dust to swirl around him. The air around him felt off, but he didn’t really care.
“The winds blew up, her bow dipped down. Blow, my bully boys, blow.” Izuku opened the door to the apartment he lived in, but when he stepped through, he found himself in front of a huge building. It was in the shape of an H with some students milling around.
Izuku’s eyes widened as he saw one of them that looked like a dog. Another student banged his own fists together and they hardened, looking like rocks.
“What the fuck?”

Tommy blinked. Gradually, the corners of his mouth dropped into the deepest frown he’d ever made. “What the fuck? Why?”
“Why?” Icarus froze and Tommy raised a judgemental eyebrow. “It’s because of your powers.”
“My powers,” he echoed. “I never told you whether or not I had powers.”
“I can… sense them,” Icarus bullshitted. Tommy pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Right. What are they, then,” he retorted.
“Uh… super… powers,” the villain answered, sounding more unsure of himself by the second.
Tommy wanted to bash his head against a wall. “Really? That’s the best you could do?”

Tommy isn’t sure why handing someone their keys is such a big deal, but now he’s left with a huge problem: Every supervillain in the city wants him to be their apprentice!

Quackity Anadón has been on the run for a little while now. He's pretty sure he has this galaxy, and the people in it, figured out. But he knows that if he can find the home his mom always talked about, his life will finally take a turn for the better. It can't get much worse than where he's coming from.
Sapnap Halo has had a rough time in space. Kidnapped, possibly experimented on, and his memory is fucked. But not getting home isn't on the table, not with how he left things. He just has to actually escape his captors, which is easier said then done.
Karl Jacobs remembers bits of before. He knows he lived somewhere, he knows that somewhere had others like him. But that was a lifetime ago, and he's had to focus on survival, and not some distant pain. And with MCC approaching, he's got enough on his mind.

Or, Midoriya Izuku was Quirkless, was gifted a Quirk from All Might, went to Yuuei, fought in a War, lived through the After and was supposed to die. Only he finds himself back in the past with a skewed moral code, PTSD, and an extreme desire to stop his friends from dying brutal deaths. He is going to change the future, make some friends, maybe find a boyfriend, give some Villains a reason to be better and stop some Heroes. For better or for worse.

He hunched over the bathroom sink, hacking and spitting out blood and an object. He spat it out, only to reel back in horror to see he was missing a tooth.
"Oh. Oh fuck, holy fuck" shit. He thought he had more time! He was working up the nerve to talk to Techno, but he had less time than he thought.

The boy standing in the mirror wasn’t Wilbur.
He blinked a few times, and the boy in the mirror did too. He lifted a hand, with the stranger doing the same. When he flipped the reflection off, the bony and bruised hand flipped him off in return.
“This isn’t me,” Wilbur whispered in the stranger’s voice, the reflection mouthing the words in time with him.
This wasn’t him and yet the reflection in the mirror was telling him it was. The boy had curly blonde hair that was styled similarly to Wilbur’s, except the fringe wasn’t nearly as long. Wide set blue eyes stared at him, and after a moment of being frozen, he squeezed them shut, wondering if his reflection would be back to normal when he opened them.
His eyes blinked open, and he saw he was still blonde and blue-eyed. Fuck.
or, Wilbur is bored of the monotony of his life in a small town, and wishes for a new life. Meanwhile, Tommy is tired of the isolation that comes with living in the city, and wonders what it would be like to have a closer family.

But as he stands before Tommy, his shoulders shaking, and his eyes shining in the moonlight, he’s about as close as he gets to it. Tommy reaches up to grab his hand with his smaller ones. He hadn’t meant to make him sad.
He just wanted to tell him how much he missed his dad!
How he didn’t mind dying if it meant Phil would be his family again.
“You’re not supposed to be this…this small. Is this how bad we failed you?” It’s barely said over a whisper. Tommy has to strain his ears to even make out the words.
“I promise Tommy,” Phil says his eyes growing a fire in them. “We’re going to make this right. We’ll make it go away.”
And under the snowfall of the arctic winds. Tommy can’t help but believe him.
