Zedaph is summoned by mumza/lady Death to watch over third life's purgatory, because Grian forgot hardcore worlds had those and the watcher were trying to be creepy. after he fixes it Zedaph decides to stick around and make sure everything stays fixed. And later to be a bit of a group therapist for all the emotional red life shenanaganery.

If you asked Ratchet what he expected to return to, it wouldn’t have been his conjunx pinning Pharma against a wall. It also wouldn’t be them kissing with tongue—were those sucking noises?—and Drift, usually calm and collected, grasping insistently on Pharma’s neck cables. It was a very nice view from the front door; here, Pharma’s frame was blocked by the sight of Drift’s back, only his wings and his pedes sticking out. Ratchet had been in this exact position himself. Possibly on that same stretch of wall.

Rodimus had reluctantly agreed to have his ship disassembled, and had reluctantly complied with Megatron's wishes to go back on trial, so really the crew should've let him sulk in peace on their last trip around the stars. He'd been about to join the party back in Swerve's bar when his second in command had asked him for one favor. Okay, he hadn't asked so much as Rodimus had suggested the idea and Ultra Magnus had jumped at the chance. Now thanks to him they were fugitives, adrift in the universe on an endless adventure, it was everything he could've wanted, but problems arise when you aren't legally allowed in your homeworld's space anymore.
Would it have been easier to listen to Prowl and let everything take it's course? Yes. Was he known for doing that? Hell no! Bring it on universe, the Lost Light is ready for anything!
