Summary
Fidelio is prodded by his brother to get off the Charadrius for the evening, live a little. It's hardly a novel outing- so why not make it fun by bringing Del's lady friend? For Basilio, it's an excuse to get to know the woman his sibling has been nothing short of taciturn about. It's an opportunity to give Del some shit; it's also an opportunity to give some advice.
Fidelio has already started falling down the slope of realizing this is more than a fling. He's got a lot to atone for, and a lot to come clean on: if he can just pluck up the damn bravery, for even a moment.

Alone again, with the pancakes not due to flip for another minute or so going by the lack of bubbles on the pale doughy surfaces, Will takes a deep breath and presses the backs of his knuckles into his eyes with a groan.
He tells himself sternly to knock it off, because there's certainly no point in it.
It's one matter to stand against the world as a person more hated than just about anything and to have comrades defend your honor and right to exist. It's another matter entirely, Will thinks, to imagine that he can… partake, in that same society, in all the same ways everyone else can.
In which Will has some hangups about what is tacitly forbidden to him by virtue of being an elda amidst a nation that would prefer to see him dead. Along the way to untangling that complicated knot of internalized taboo, Basilio fights his own old long-standing battles. Together, perhaps, the impasses holding them both down might be broken.

Summary
Hypnos has his golden eyes riveted on the fishing lure, but he's staring right past it. The pole is lax in his hands.
Zagreus knows, from centuries spent around Hypnos to varying degrees, that the guy sometimes just gets like that. A little spacey, a little airy, a little impermanent and intangible like a- well, like a dream. Something wispy and immaterial, somehow physically present and yet not here at all.
The problem is, he's been doing it a lot more lately.
