Summary
He should feel so embarrassed, naked in the steaming water, and he does for a moment, but then it’s gone. It’s just Jayce sitting on the side of the tub—it’s always been Jayce—soaping Viktor’s hair, rinsing it gently, massaging his shoulders, careful around the bruises. It’s Jayce’s steady hands on Viktor’s back, careful but unshakable, and Jayce bundling him up in an enormous white towel and walking him to the bed.
A hundred unpleasant things he could be feeling and thoughts he could be thinking, but when he’s with Jayce those thoughts always seem to narrow down to one pleasant thing, or two. There’s something easy about letting himself be cared for by someone he cares for so much.
