Zemo blows a raspberry, an incredibly strange sound coming from him, “it was a sleeper shot, James. They wanted me…they wanted…”
“They wanted you alive.” Bucky finishes for him, eyes wide as he burrows between the shrubs, unwittingly whacking Zemo in the face with a bush. The baron spits out a few leaves.
“Lucky me.”

Sam swears loudly. “I told you he was just going to mess with your head.”“He isn’t messing with my head,” Bucky snaps back on reflex.
“Bucky, you just gave the man a blow job.”
Bucky wants to object, opens his mouth to, but is at a loss for words.
“In front of someone,” Sam adds, eyebrows raised.
“Yeah okay. I can see your point. That’s not something I would…normally do.”
“You think?!”

The absolutely fucking juvenile question leaves James’ dumb mouth without permission. He blinks in surprise, then snaps his mouth shut, teeth clicking with the force of it.
Zemo sends him an amused smile as he expertly slices the prosciutto on the board into more bite-sized pieces. “Of course I like you, James.”
“Do you like like me.” Fuck what’s wrong with him, is he twelve?! But also- he needs to fucking know.

Summary
@Sparcina shared this prompt: Post-TFATWS, Zemo starts writing erotica from his cell and becomes famous under his pen name. Sam, who's heard about these books from Sarah, who's a huge fan, gifts one to Bucky as a joke. Bucky means to ignore the book until it spontaneously catches on fire, but after one night too many of not being able to sleep, he picks it up out of boredom... and finds himself getting reacquainted with his sexuality (which he's been ignoring for years) via 'this very mysterious author'.
Bucky's pretty stupid, but this really takes the cake.

Summary
As a former death squad commander, Zemo can handle a lot. Physically, mentally, emotionally.
Most things that don’t require his immediate attention roll right off his back with an elegant shrug of a draped shoulder, a sly smile, or a barbed response. Goons #1-6 don’t require much intelligent conversation. Bad guys who run their mouths may require some concentration, but that’s because they’re exposing their plan, which—thank you—all of Zemo’s schemes had been held close to his chest, his lips sealed as he scattered pieces on the board and moved them without drawing attention.
