    Excluding the pounding in his head and music seeping through the far wall, Greg could hear very little else. A car driving by on the street outside, a dog barking. It was a jarring contrast to the previous room he’d been in, with all it’s noise and lights. He pulled the covers up, over his head, and curled in on himself. It was a strange world he’d found himself in. Was this how the new Rodrick- the Rodrick he didn’t yet know- spent his time? Eating shitty diner food and knocking back beer after beer?
