They had been planning for months, and Newt noticed the shoulders of the brunette were always tense, and his eyes were always far in thought as he stared off into the distance while other spoke. He wasn't the confident, slightly arrogant bastard Newt felt comfortable following, comfortable settling into second-in-command. No, he was distant, tense, and jumpy, something Newt wasn't sure how to handle. Thomas had always been so sure of himself, and now Newt wasn't sure how to help him, or if he even wanted any help at all.
"If we lived in a different world," Thomas started, opening his eyes slowly to look at Newt. "I'd probably get down on one knee and marry you."
Newt stared shocked for a moment, but a grin took over his lips and a blush crept up his cheeks from his neck. "Take me to that safe haven and maybe that can be arranged."

“You got a mouth on you, Eren.” Levi acknowledged wryly. “I’m not especially kind to smartasses.”
“What do you do to smartasses like me?”
Levi’s eyes flashed dangerously. “You don’t want to know.”
The conversation was finally going somewhere. The rhythm picking up dangerously and Eren’s heart thudded against his rib cage, no longer out of anxiety but out of excitement.
“I kind of do.” Eren whispered, eyelids lowering.
Eren had been planning to spend his last semester just trying to survive his classes. Instead, he meets Levi and they find out they have much more in common than they originally thought.
