Wilbur's eyes flicker over to them. "Uh – " he swallows. "Um, yes. Sure. If – if you have to."
And then she helps him peel off his hoodie. And then his shirt. And Technoblade's throat goes dry.
Wilbur is covered in bruises. And usually, Techno knows, that's hyperbole, but no – this is honest. There's no blowing up the blue and black mottling his back, or his side, or his arm. His injured shoulder is actually the only part of him that's not marked up, and Techno is guessing that once the pain sets in, it won't stay that way for long.
This, Techno thinks, is much, much more than he was expecting, and much, much more than he was ready to deal with.
or, Wilbur Soot is a hockey player being treated awfully by his team. Techno is team captain of SMP, Phil's team, and he does Not like what he sees.

If Tommy could, he’d tear down the entire goddamn city with his bare hands. He wanted to watch all those stupid buildings burn. He wanted to see the Hero Tower go up in flames, and roast marshmallows over the smoking remains of City Hall. Those places were mockeries of what they were supposed to do. Protect, serve, it was all bullshit. The city did nothing to protect Tommy when he needed it. He’d had to save himself, and it was the hardest thing he’d ever done.
“I know, and I understand that. You have every right to feel like that given everything the city’s done to fuck you over,” Wilbur said. “But you can’t hop in the fight just yet.”
“Why not?” Tommy challenged. “I don’t get it. What’s gonna be so different between me now and me in a year?”

Summary
There was an abandoned structure, deep into the forest near the village.
A big temple of some sorts. Or at least, what was left of it.
The place was abandoned.
Both by the people and the gods.
Nobody could even remember what the temple was supposed to worship in the first place. Time had passed and moved on without any sign that its walls ever existed other than their presence. Not even the village’s elderly could recall any rumors or legends about it. There was not a single text left or anyone to tell the tale of the sanctuary.
But there was something.
A statue.
