Summary
Ten years ago, Seong Gi-hun is wrongfully convicted of a murder while on vacation with friends. Now paroled, he returns to a life where his ex-husband has told their daughters he died- erasing his name, rewriting his memory, and hanging a portrait of another man above the fireplace.
To stay close while searching for the real killer- believing it to be someone from their original friend group- Gi-hun has to remarry his ex-husband under a new identity and become the stepfather to his own children until he can clear his name.

Summary
Each of the men in Seong Gihun's family has died for a century at the hands of an unknown entity at 40 years of age. It was inevitable... some would wonder why anyone would bother keeping the family going- but Gihun was obviously not in luck. An entity was going to end his life tonight; he knew it, even if he tried to ignore reality in the arms of his mother, who rocked him back and forth with a soft voice begging for his safety to whoever would listen.
(Or: the fic where Inho fails to kill him, and Gihun and Inho learn to live together as human and demon, becoming closer as Inho starts to understand Gihun's life and maybe, the two unwittingly fall in love along the way?)
