Just as Rin began to lose himself within the almost euphoric feeling, the door handle turned fully down and he heard a light click.
It was too late to hide.
The razor fell out of his hand onto the floor with a hollow clatter and he quickly shielded his forearm. Though it was pointless with the splatters of blood on the floor next to him and the same liquid now coating his palm and forearm.
Sae, Sae, of all people, stood rigid at the door, hand still holding onto the handle, now slightly gripping harder, sharp eyes looking down on him.
Neither of them spoke for a moment. Because what was there to say? The body still lay at the crime scene, along with all the evidence needed to identify the perpetrator. It didn’t take a genius to figure out what was going on here.
