Excerpt:
When Jason woke up with his head pounding and limbs stiff as a board his reaction was not to panic, that had long been trained out of him by Bruce, so instead he took the chance to analyse his surroundings without moving himself in any way. With his eyes staying relaxed and shut he used his other senses, wherever he was smelt like old human waste and dried blood, leaving an unpleasant tang in his throat. Focusing some more he noted the scent of gunmetal and other odd metal smells that he did not recognise off the top of his head. He could hear nothing fully distinct from directly around him but noted that there was slight shuffling far away and faint clinking sounds of metal bumping against metal. Luckily for him it didn’t sound as if there were multiple people nearby which put him at a slight advantage. -

A lot of people love skinny. But they don’t love what comes with being skinny. The protruding bones. Shivering. Moments of absence. So once they’ve had a taste of skinny, they go back to their full, comforting meals. Multiple a day, fueling them to get further away from skinny.
If you don’t have food, then you can’t be fueled. If you don’t have fuel, then you can’t get food. If you don’t have food, you can’t be fueled. If you don’t have fuel, then you can’t get food. If you don’t have food, you can’t be fueled. If you don’t have fuel, then you can’t get food.

Summary

Summary
Logan has a complicated life. He has his research, his teaching, and his relationship to maintain with Patton and later their son Virgil. All of this is only even more complicated by his other frequent activity: being the superhero Bluebird. Logan deals with most of his issues the way he has since he was a child. He sorts, labels, and files them either in his mind or in his extensive physical filing system. Yet, despite his logical filing system, sometimes it fails. Sometimes he is forced to reevaluate and relabel some of his files. Other times, he simply watches as they shift around on their own. He learns throughout his life that sometimes things that don't seem to have a place, are the things that belong most with him.
