Summary
After successfully tracking down the Blackstone, Kayne, miraculously, followed through on his side of their deal. John was granted a human body. Faroe was returned safe, happy, and alive, like no time had passed at all. Though Arthur never regained his sight, the three of them made do, and settled into a quiet, comfortable life together.
Only a few years later, a knock at the door shatters the peace of the life they have built, and old fear comes hurtling back—all the worse for what Arthur now has to lose.
