Summary
Welcome to "yet another playthrough fic", but as so many others in this fantastic writing community, I could not help it.
This series shows some scenes from all three acts from Astarion's point of view and - hopefully - captures his internal struggle with the illusion of freedom, his hopes and fears and how they play into his character development.This is also a romance between Astarion and "Tav" (who does have a proper full name which Astarion maybe bothers to learn at some point, fingers crossed), a human bard who is initially drawn to the pale elf she picked up on a beach, but ultimately very much unimpressed by his seduction attempt. (They get better though!)
The title is from a short poem by Emily Dickinson:
