Summary
Charlie Swan was not a man of subtlety. The Lord did not bless him with a natural grace nor did he care to have it. He knew what he knew and did as he so pleased (so long as it, too, pleased the town), and that was enough for him.
Of course, he felt the absence of his daughter acutely, but he couldn't help but find himself distracted by the handsome and mysterious new family in town -- particularly its patriarch, Dr. Cullen. The return of his daughter brings new anxieties and heartache to the simple man, and he's left unsure if it's all for the better.
Too many things are changing too quickly in Forks, Washington -- will Charlie be able to handle it all?
