"Yeong-ah, what happened? How did I get here?”
“We found you injured near checkpoint 6 in the bamboo forest. You were shot. An unknown woman is responsible.”
“A woman?” Hope sprang in his chest. “What woman?”
“We are still trying to find out. She won’t tell us anything, even her name. Her fingerprints seem to match a woman who is currently incarcerated in Seoul for some petty crimes, but since that woman is confirmed to be in the Seoul woman’s prison, we don’t know who this woman could be.”
Gon closed his eyes in relief. So she was alive. “Her name is Jeong Tae-eul.”
“You know her?” Yeong asked in surprise.
Gon nodded. “Where is she now?”
“In the dungeon, awaiting punishment for treason.”

And then suddenly, Yeong’s posture changed from ready to high alert. The change was subtle, but Gon had been seeing Yeong out of the corner of his eye for long enough to know Yeong has heard or seen something he doesn’t like. Yeong began issuing orders and all around the room his Royal Guards suddenly looked agitated and on edge.
Gon’s eyes scanned the room looking for whatever it was that had changed, but nothing has.
There’s only one other place that would be on Yeong's radar and with a sinking feeling Gon realizes what this means. The problem, whatever it was, wasn’t happening here. Something is going on with the Queen.

Summary
Tae-eul has heard about this kind of thing a few times from people she knows but she kinda thought there'd be more head trauma and pain involved. Being upright is unexpected but not unwelcome. It's the jumps that are super disorienting and nothing around her makes sense.

Gon is compelled by circumstances to implement that emergency reintroduction plan and Yeong is forced to help him.

After the death of Lee Lim and the closing of the portal, Tae-eul struggles to come to terms with a life cut off from Gon and a reality where her closest friend Shin-jae no longer exists.
With infinite doors in the universe, crossing the In-Between could take a lifetime.
If Gon never finds the way back to Tae-eul, will she be able to reach him instead?
An alternative ending where Tae-eul is the one who must decide between a life spent together or a lifetime spent apart.
