Summary
After Harry breaks the taboo and the trio ends up at Malfoy Manor, Hermione does the only thing she can think of - she makes them leave her behind and then Obliviates her memories of the Horcruxes.
Severus is struggling to keep Hogwarts from falling into more chaos, unable to completely curb all of the Carrows' violent urges. When he's summoned to Malfoy Manor in the middle of Easter break, he isn't expecting to be "gifted" one third of the so-called Golden Trio. Now both their lives hang in the balance as he acts as cruelly as he's expected to, despite his own disgust at the situation. Miss Granger is to be bait for the two boys, the bruises Severus is leaving on her to make her all the more enticing to their hero complexes.
Even in death, Albus asks too much of the Potions Master, but Severus will obey, even as he can't look at himself in the mirror any longer.
