    After all, nothing made the gentry more uneasy than an unbiased, unbribable killer.

    Thus, their desperate hands had been forced.

    In order to bring peace to the world, ( and keep their own precious lives intact…) They turn to the man that they themselves turned their backs on thirteen years ago, the Yiling Patriarch, Wei Wuxian, and hope that maybe, just maybe, the irony of the situation would be lost on him.
