Summary
"Oh, shoosh, Lance, it's an easy mission, you'll be fine," Keith rolled his eyes, slinging a satchel full of rations, and other miscellaneous materials in case of emergency over his shoulder as he walked into his ship's hangar.
"Shoosh yourself, Mullet, I'm not risking getting stranded on a random planet without the necessary means of survival!" Lance retaliated, pushing his strength on either side of an overflowing duffel bag, squeezing it, or at least attempting to, between his legs.
"It's an overnight mission. We're collecting a flower, Lance. What could go wrong?" Keith tightened the strap and stopped to momentarily lean against a wall, arms crossing over his chest.
"Shut up and come help me close this bag!"
"Whatever."
It will take only mere hours for Keith to take his words, shove them in a blender, zoosh them into oblivion, and swallow them back down.
Because, there are actually many, many things that could go wrong.
Oh, so terribly wrong.***
Alternatively: the Red and Blue paladins of Voltron find themselves stranded on a planet they have yet to discover. Shenanigans (good and bad) ensue.

Summary
Lance bowed his head, eyes fluttering shut. "I'm just...me."
"Just- you?" Keith repeated, brows furrowed and face twisted like he honestly couldn't understand that statement. "You have never been just anything. Do you- do you really think that about yourself?"
Lance's silence was answer enough.

Summary
“Wait, wait,” Lance stood up. “You are driving to Houston.”
“Yes.”
“A drive that’s over thirty hours.”
“Yup.”
“By yourself.”
“Sure seems like it.”
“To clean out a storage container of your dead mother, that you have never met, that is now legally under your name.”
“Correct.”
Lance wondered if Keith had lost his mind.
“Keith, there could be dead bodies in that storage container!” He argued. “Or a meth lab. Or worse, mannequins dressed up like dolls sat at a tea party or some weird shit like that.”
Keith offered him an unimpressed blink. “I’ll be fine.”
“Keith, this is insane. You can’t go by yourself!”
Keith glanced at him as he shouldered his backpack.
“Come with me then.”
And that small, damned smirk tilted Keith’s lips as he held Lance’s gaze.
“What do you think, Lance?” He asked. “2,251 miles. Think you could handle it?”
Lance stopped short.
Contemplated.
And, well. Lance had nothing to do either.
So. That’s how this all started. Two disasters drive cross-country to clean out a storage container that may have dead bodies hidden inside and, hey, maybe a bit of love as well.
