You take the meds and you go to the doctor and you eat right and exercise, and do all that shit that you’re supposed to. You put in the time and effort and you make it work. You do the things and go to the places and take the pills, always the pills, always the fucking pills. And you hate that part, but you do it. You’re still damaged, but repaired; the cracks show, but you don’t leak.

Mickey would like to have someone to love, but he doesn’t believe he is worth anyone's time.
Two worlds that should never intersect. But when Ian’s younger brother needs a chaperone to go to the skatepark, these two worlds collide.

After a tense initial exchange, Lip offers Neil a place to stay, not for money, but in exchange for his "utility" – a capable and quiet presence who can help with the family's various schemes without drawing unwanted attention. Despite his ingrained distrust of others, Neil, seeing no better option, reluctantly agrees to follow Lip back to the chaotic Gallagher household.
