Melshi wakes up on Scarif alone.
A Rogue One fix-it for Melshi, Cassian, and Kay because I don’t have the experience to keep track of more characters. Features lots of angst and gay longing.

Summary
Sam Wilson is busier than ever – balancing missions, public duties, and the weight of the shield. Bucky Barnes, newly elected as a congressman for New York, is trying to make amends in a different way: with policies instead of punches, speeches instead of fights. When a few late nights and long commutes lead to Bucky crashing at Sam’s D.C. apartment, it’s supposed to be temporary. Practical. Friendly.
Then one spare key turns into extra shirts in the closet. An extra toothbrush appears on the sink. A joint grocery list. They start cooking dinner together, running in the mornings, and accidentally building a life together. Lines start to blur, and routines turn into something else.
A story about two idiots in love, learning that home isn’t a place you find. It’s what you build together.

Summary
Sam and Bucky are a couple of guys. A couple of guys who have been battered and bruised down to their souls, and who are in need of some serious rest and relaxation. Bucky would be happy to crawl back into his isolation, but Sam coaxes him into another visit to Delcroix. With no impending doom hanging over their heads, Sam and Bucky have a chance to really get to know one another and see if the spark between them might turn into something more.

The Trials and Tribulations of James Bucky Barnes by Squiggles13

Summary
This series is focused on telling Bucky's story from his WW2 days to the modern day. This is a story about trauma, betrayal, grief and recovery spanning 100 years, not to mention his horrific Hydra experiences. The series follows the beats of the MCU but it has its own plot points, and is not just a retelling of the films.
There is a lot of focus on mental health, therapy, and what I hope is a realistic depiction of recovery. There is a lot of angst but I promise a happy ending. Bucky is haunted by his misguided feelings of guilt and shame for his actions as the Winter Soldier and the choices he made that led him there.
The series is split into parts because Bucky's significant relationships change throughout his life, - Steve & Bucky, Howard & Bucky during the war, Bucky & Steve during Civil War, and then Sam & Bucky post 2023, and the parts reflect this.
This is a Sam / Bucky story. Steve and Bucky grew up as brothers. This series is not Peggy Carter friendly. Steve died in the final battle against Thanos instead of going back in time.
I intend to continue on with the series to include events of Cap 4 and Thunderbolts when these films release.

The Trials and Tribulations of James Bucky Barnes
Squiggles13Sure it’s written so each part can be understood without reading the rest but why would you want to deprive yourself of any part of this wonderful story? 😭

Summary
“You know it ain’t the Great Depression anymore, right?” Sam calls over his shoulder, eyes lingering distastefully on the pot that’s bubbling on Bucky’s apartment stove, his face scrunched up against the sight of it. “You don’t have to cook like this.”
Bucky is a lot of things. A chef is decidedly not one of them.
or a study of Bucky's relationship with cooking and also his inability to have Stuff.

Summary
While clearing out an old HYDRA base, Bucky suddenly finds himself trapped in his own past as the Winter Soldier (where he is promptly captured by a 25-year-old Sam Wilson and his partner, Riley).
Bucky looks at Riley and is hit by a cacophony of thoughts and feelings. He’s never met the man, but he’s studied his file. “You’re going to die in two years and …three months, I think,” he tells the airman. Riley looks so young with his round cheeks and faint freckles. “You’ll be shot out of the air by an RPG and Sam won’t be able to do anything to save you. I’m sorry. Maybe you can avoid it… but probably not. That's not… not how time works.”
Riley goes pale, but Sam’s face goes from neutral to hostile. When Bucky opens his mouth again, Sam snaps, “Enough with the prophecies, Cassandra. Either say something useful or I’ll shoot you in the other lung.”
