Buck didn’t need all of his coworkers to look at him in alarm; he was pretty sure he’d gone deadly pale. His daughter knew four things about him, and one of them was his old tinder profile handle. He felt a little like he was going to die.
“She’s got your eyes,” Eddie commented, unhelpfully.

Summary
Pepper and Tony Stark’s biological kids, Morgan, Peter, and Harley, were kidnapped eight years ago. While Harley and Morgan made it home, Peter was lost all that time, believing his parents had abandoned him on purpose. When they finally find him, he’s scared, malnourished, and struggles to understand what it means to be part of a real family.
And then there’s Spider-Man. Peter’s doing everything he can to keep his identity a secret, but how long can that last? Will they still let him go out if they find out? Will he ever figure out how to fit into a family that genuinely cares about him? Reuniting is one thing, but rebuilding what was lost? That’s something none of them are prepared for. Keeping his double life hidden was hard enough before, now, with a family that’s protective and watching his every move, it feels impossible.
His family has their own struggles, the guilt Tony and Pepper feel knowing what Peter went through alone, the grief of missing his childhood, and Harley’s pain of losing his twin for years, never knowing if he’d get him back.
(I personally can't handle long fics, but this one is angsty every chapter, so it's one even I would be able to handle. Also I suck at summaries, sorry.)

Summary
It’s only when Buck is on the ground, still and silent, and Eddie is looking down at the chaos around them, that he realises everything has changed.
The fluorescent yellow stripes on their turnouts have dulled. The flashing lights no longer paint the scene red. Now, it’s all shades of black and grey where colour used to be.
He brushes past the obvious realisation first, unable to think of anything else besides the fact that this means Buck is dead. His heart is not beating and he’s gone.
His soulmate is gone.
Or, in a world where you stop seeing colours the moment your soulmate dies, Eddie Diaz wonders if he should consider himself lucky the world only became black and white for three minutes and seventeen seconds.
