Then the lockdown tripped.
It was Tetsutetsu’s fault. He’d been messing with the panel in the hallway, trying to reroute the lights to turn back on, because it was too fucking dark to find his boots. Bakugo had been yelling at him when the doors slammed shut, metal crashing against metal like a vault sealing. The noise echoed down the empty corridors, followed by the slow tick of a timer resetting, a faint mechanical voice telling them that security override had failed.
Three hours. Minimum. The doors wouldn’t budge.
