Now, okay, so normally, he didn’t mind the local criminals, rouges, henchmen, thieves and troublemakers of Gotham. They were, after all, the cause and effect of the heroes that he admired.
But Joker had crossed a line in Tim’s admittedly skewed moral compass (that he’s worked awfully hard on creating) when Joker had chosen to do what he did.
After all, as he had found in one of his mother's family books, "Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc!" Or…We gladly feast upon those who would subdue us.
Tim thought his plans and actions causing Joker's subduction were a perfectly reasonable, normal response.

Summary
Never again would he return to his safehouse in the middle of the night to muffled whimpers and cries. Never again would he have to see Jason drift off in a daze while they were watching movies on the couch and pause it so he could whisper him back to clarity.
And part of Tim mourned.
He would never see his Jason again, the one who had foregone the pistol with rubber bullets and crowded the body of Tim’s attacker with bloody holes and lead; The Jason who had laughed so hard at one of his impressions of Bruce that he’d missed his grapple and smacked straight into a building; His best friend. He was gone, Red Hood would never exist.
But Jason wouldn’t have to suffer the way he had in his timeline.
It had never been a choice at all.
Or, Tim is sent back in time just before Jason's death—there's no way he can just stand aside and let him die, no matter how risky messing with time is, so he saves him. And again. And again. Jason takes to calling him his Guardian Angel.

Summary
Everyone calls them a couple'a street rats. According to Tim, that makes their pack a mischief.
Or, Jason finds Tim, stranded in Crime Alley by his heat. He can't just leave him there, especially after learning what his parents are like. That's fine, he can take care of the both of them, Tim is his pack now and he'd do anything to keep him safe.

When Anakin ends up in an old Dark Side temple, he learns a surprising truth: the galaxy needs both the Light and Dark Sides of the Force to be healthy, to be balanced. However, the only Darksiders left are the Sith, who poison the Dark Side with their hatred, driving any new Darksiders mad. They need to be dealt with so the Force can heal, but the already-failing Jedi would collapse if the presence of the Dark Side was eliminated completely, so removing the Sith isn't currently an option.Anakin is the Chosen One for a specific reason: he's very predispositioned to the Dark. Him embracing the (healthy) Dark Side is the first step in restoring balance to the Force—and the following steps include ensuring that the Jedi don't realize that he's gone Dark, recruiting other Darksiders, letting the entire 501st and his Padawan in on the secret, and not-quite-accidentally adopting 600 Darkside younglings and starting an Order of his own—all in secret, and all during a war.
