Summary
Satisfied with his defense, Mu Qingfang looked back down towards his reports and started to shuffle them back together, expecting this whole ordeal to be over and done with soon enough.
While he was too busy with organising his scrolls and stray papers, the other present peak lords shared a look between each other. All of them thinking back on the few turbulent weeks where their doctor was indeed spirited away, where they all finally felt just how much the sect actually did rely on his presence.
Not to mention how the only problem that their shidi brought up and seemed to think relevant to them in this hypothetical was just the issue of his usefulness.For once, the peak lords came silently to an unanimous agreement without much fuss.
