Summary
“Hello,” said the Elf, tilting his head and studying the children. They stared back, wide-eyed. “Who are you?”
The two boys exchanged a puzzled glance. “You don’t remember?” said the one on the right. "I'm Réd."
“I’m Rín,” said the other.
[Or: Celegorm wakes up outside Mandos with a bow, two silver-haired elflings, and no memories. He sets off to return the boys to their parents and figure out who he is … but he might not like what he finds.]

Summary
Silver bloomed in the darkness before his eyes, a gentle glow that did not hurt. He was transfixed, mesmerized.
“Little one,” the silver cooed, “lovely-one. So far from home. You are so new yet your hurts are so old. You will be favored, you who is the first and last of your kind. Little lovely-one, you change the Music.”
The silver flared. His vision was consumed by light.
(or: the one where a lawyer reincarnates as nelyafinwë fëanorian, and it makes all the difference.)

Summary
Patterns and echoes of what she knew was supposed to happen - she could see them everywhere. She was what was wrong in the picture, the thing that shifted everything and caused devastating changes, and yet even then the weave of history showed a similar image to what she had expected.
Being reincarnated into the body of an Elf, growing up in Rivendell, it had always sounded like a dream to her. It was both a dream and a nightmare. Love and grief were inseperable for her, even when she was surrounded by people who were supposed to be immortal. The future loomed menacingly ahead, promising war, love, and even more loss.
She didn't want it. She wanted freedom to choose her own fate, and she wanted the freedom to explore Middle-earth.
What would you do with three thousand years? Well, she certainly wasn't going to spend them sitting in Rivendell.- Language:
