Summary
He catches himself daydreaming sometimes, when he’s not expecting it. About the broad line of Charles’ shoulders, the low murmur of his voice as he soothes Taima, the roughness of his palms and how they feel against his own. He wasn’t sure he’d ever have this again with someone, wasn’t sure it was possible.

Summary
There is no birdsong. The hooting of pelicans and chatter of parakeets is almost as constant as the alligators’ droning hum, the cicadas’ buzz. He picks his gaze up from the battered siding. Dutch’s head is tilted. Bending forward, he leans over the railing beside Arthur, frown caught on something behind his head, eyebrows furrowed in strained confusion. “What…is that?”
Set primarily during 'Horsemen, Apocalypses', Arthur is forced to reckon with the lasting trauma of his abduction in Chapter 3. Spans Black Belle's chapter of 'The Noblest of Men, and a Woman', 'Fatherhood and Other Dreams', 'Brothers and Sisters, One and All', and 'American Fathers I'.

Summary
It's been weeks since Arthur escaped the O'Driscolls, but he still can't sleep. Not without Charles nearby. Charles is going crazy. He can't bear being in love with his friend. Not when Arthur is in so plainly in love with this Mary woman. The confession could ruin their friendship. Or maybe not...
“You’re leaving?”
Takes a moment for Charles to look up from fiddling needlessly with Taima’s reins. To face Arthur. And speak. “Yeah.”
“You can’t.”
“Arthur.” He says it with a sigh. “You knew I was gonna leave eventually.”
“But I—” I need you, he almost says. “I thought you was taking me with you.”
Charles looks at him so fondly. “I can’t—"
“Was you gonna say goodbye at least?” Arthur knows he sounds more wounded than angry. And he supposes he is.Bookmarked by DazedAndKrazed

Summary
“Every time we’re together now, every time I look at you, all I can think about is–is ruining you,” Charles whispers as if the admission won’t feel as terrible to say if it’s said under his breath. He looks away from Arthur, can’t bear to see what his expression turns into. “Can’t help but see you under me, pinned to the ground, covered nearly head to toe in marks that I made. Can’t stop thinking about being rough with you, about you being rough with me in return, and I can’t do that to you. Can’t ask that of you. You don’t deserve it.” Nobody speaks for a little bit, the air full with the sound of buzzing insects. Charles’ heart thunders in his chest, his head buzzing with possibilities of how Arthur might be feeling right now, what he might be thinking. He braces himself for anger, for yelling, for betrayal.
“Oh,” he hears Arthur say, and it sounds breathy to Charles’ ears. It’s so different from what Charles had been expecting and his gaze snaps up to Arthur to find him with his lips parted, pupils blown. “Can’t be sayin’ things like that to me, not if you ain’t planning on following through.”

Summary
::::::::::::::::
What if Charles never joined the Van der Linde gang? What if Arthur lived?
Bounty Hunter (sort of): Charles Smith
Wanted: Arthur Morgan::::::::::::::::
Been three years since Arthur Morgan was left for dead on the side of a mountain. Having dedicated his life to the man who left him there, it didn’t hardly seem worth fighting to get off it. Thought someone, surely someone, would come back for him. So he waited, weary fingers dug deep into the dirt to ground him, eyes on the sunset, waiting for someone to come for him, to take him down the mountain, or bury him someplace. But nobody came.
