Summary
Scar creeps closer to where he can feel Cub. He doesn’t want to think the worst, he’s trying not to. But if it isn’t the worst, then Cub deserves to get a fright for scaring him like this anyway. Oh, Scar’s gonna get him but good if Cub did this for his own amusement!
So Scar is silent, he’s sneaky, he’s so close.
Close enough to hear Grian call out, bringing Cub to his side in an instant. Cub. In his full Vex aspect, wings and tail visible, skin pale, eyes glowing. Cub, floating beside Grian at attention, expression loose.
Close enough to hear Grian’s words.
“Good Vex.”
Scar’s wide, stricken eyes unable to look away from Grian petting Cub’s hair, Grian feeding purple magic sparks into Cub’s skin, into Cub’s wings, making Cub shiver into brighter glow with a satisfied lazy grin and a completely empty gaze.
Scar bolts.

Summary
Tim helped five heroes escape from Lex Luthor’s grasp not long ago, and he is still facing the consequences for it. He does not expect to be saved, he does not expect anything more to come from the disastrous month he spent with Kon, Bart, Dick, Kaldur, and M’gann. But suddenly Luthor is shipping him off, letting him out for the first time in more than seven years. Tim has no idea what is going on, but he does know that he can’t afford to focus on the sickening hope stirring in his gut. He has a job to do, and that’s all that matters.
Kon was at his wit’s end when Bart came up with a plan. He finally has a chance to save Tim, to get him out of Cadmus after all this time. He just needs to keep him save from Luthor’s schemes while Tim does his work, and the second it is over, Kon is taking him away from Luthor forever. Saving Tim is all that he cares about, no matter what complications Luthor tries to throw at him.

With the Server Wars entering a period of deescalation and espionage, the First Circle decides it's time to decommission their famous- and infamous- Beacon Angels.
Third Circle Sarandiel, understandably, is not interested in being decommissioned and- in his first ever act of defiance- flees, using the last of his energy to punch his way onto a random server in the neutral zone.
where he misses destroying the Hermit Permit office by, oh. About four blocks.
On Hermitcraft, where survivors, civilians and veterans alike have found safe harbor, is there a place for a weapon of war? And if there is, can Impulse- former Prince of the House of Sulfur- reconcile his feelings on manufactured angels with the damaged goofball who keeps sleeping on his beacon?
