Summary
Hadrian Potter survived the Chamber of Secrets. More than that, he conquered the beast within and saved his sister's life, making a deal with the younger version of his ex-mortal enemy turned mentor/partner in exchange for information and a promise to help him, if Hadrian doesn't kill the diary first.
Now, it is the summer before Hadrian's third year at Hogwarts, and things are going to change. Drastically.
While his guardians are busy debating whether or not Hadrian and his friends should even return to Hogwarts in the fall, Hadrian is busy resurrecting a Dark Lord, going to therapy, and also dealing with the consequences of ascending to Lordship at twelve (almost thirteen) years old. He's been impulsive in the past, but he's never had quite as much political impact as he does now.
Gaining friends, family, and allies is the key this summer to begin his and Bas's plan to overthrow the ministry and reset the board. People aren't pawns, but that doesn't mean that they aren't part of the game; they’re still positioned, sacrificed, and counted.
The wizarding world may think that war is over, but something much larger looms on the horizon.

Summary
Hadrian Potter rarely went looking for trouble, but it always seemed to find him.
After discovering the world of magic, facing down a mountain troll, and surviving an encounter with the Dark Lord – resulting in the death of his defense professor at Hadrian’s own hands – Hadrian Potter faces the seemingly insurmountable task of returning to normal life. He must continue to live as if all were well, even after Voldemort sends him a letter offering the chance to find out what the actual goals of Voldemort are and why the Dark Lord waged war on magical Britain decades ago.
Can Hadrian put aside his resentment for the man who killed his parents long enough to learn the truth? What should he do when his friends start to notice that he starts acting strangely, asking questions that no one has the answers to? He's the heir to three Ancient and Noble Houses; he has more to do than just play games. Hadrian has an opportunity to find out why Voldemort targeted him and his family, but is he brave enough, clever enough, to find out without changing the fate of the world as he knows it?
What would change if Harry Potter were a Slytherin and hated Dumbledore more than he hated the Dark Lord?

Summary
Just like the many amazing Slytherin Harry Potter fics, this is my take on what would happen if Harry Potter was just a little bit smarter, a little bit crueler, and acted a little bit more like the Slytherin we knew he could be.
Takes inspiration from too many stories to count, but includes tropes like Slytherin Harry, awesome goblins, dumbledore bashing, and Harry destroying any machinations laid out for him simply by existing and giving things a second thought. He refuses to be anybody's puppet.
After Harry is introduced to the wizarding world, some red flags are raised and questions left unanswered, so he decides to ditch his babysitter and return to Diagon Alley unsupervised. Harry returns to the bank and finds that Dumbledore has been manipulating everything from behind the scenes. Eager to leave the Dursleys behind, Hadrian - he learned his name was - will do whatever it takes to get out from under Dumbledore's thumb, even if it means walking a darker path than expected of the Wizarding world's Savior.
