Summary
Being adopted meant that she didn't look a whole lot like her family. Lighter hair, paler skin; just about the only things she shared with them were dark eyes and an overbite. It also meant she didn't meet them for a long time, until she was almost 14. Up to then, she'd lived in an orphanage, and attended a private school affiliated with it.
Well. He had. She wasn't exactly around yet.

Summary
There's just a few weeks left of Reality Check Summer Camp, before everyone can go home and return to their regular, boring lives.
Or, there would be, if only an astronomical coincidence hadn't caused Masha to trip and fall into an impossibly-deep puddle.Never to resurface.
In broad daylight.
But hey, at least there's a pretty good chance "Luz" knows where they went! That's gotta count for something, right?

Summary
This is a sister story (pun intended) to The Owl House that follows Vee's adventures in the human realm. It explores what it's like for Vee to come to a new world with entirely new rules and have to learn it all from scratch. As well as dealing with her past, what it made her and who she is now. It is meant to run concurrently to the show proper and I have done my best to keep it within the canon.
This is the second time I've tried writing fanfiction (the first was awful and will never again see the light of day) and by far the longest thing I've ever written. I've never needed chapters before. As such I welcome critique and corrections. If you see something, say something. The comments so far have been a great help to improving my writing and I've enjoyed reading every one.
Lastly, I'm now on day 556 of Duolingo Spanish, and if my Google translate skills aren't up to snuff let me know. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy.
