Viktor scoffed, “Of course.” He’d had half a nutrients bar left over from the day before, which would usually be plenty for any undercity kid, but Viktor had gotten used to the unlimited meals that came with being a co-creator of Hextech and the reminder of food had gotten his stomach rumbling. Guilt itched in his throat at the thought but was soon interrupted as a conspicuously loud gurgle brought his attention to the sharp discomfort in his stomach as he, for the first time since long before Jayce had brought it up, recognised the disagreeable sensation as hunger.

Cere was halfway finished braiding Merrin's hair when Cal returned, heavy footsteps falling on the ramp of the Mantis,
"You're early," she noted dryly, "Find what you're looking for?"
"No, I don' think so,"
At the slight slur of his words Cere looked up, seeing Cal sway slightly immediately set off alarm bells in her brain. But, seeing no blood she shushed them in favour of letting Cal explain. She raised an eyebrow at him, but got no further when Merrin cut her off,
"Great Mother, what happened to you?"

Summary
After going through physical and mental abuse by his sensei and getting kicked out of several foster homes, 14-year-old Zoro ends up in a terrible group home. Not willing to give up his passion, he breaks into a dojo to train in secret. When the owner, Dracula Mihawk, discovers the talented boy, he decides to train him. When he learns the details of Zoro’s situation, he even decides to take the teen in.
Mihawk has made a terrible mistake. He had thought offering Roronoa a better option than a group home would be enough, but he quickly realizes the boy needs more help than the sword-master can offer. There is one person he could ask for help. Someone he hadn’t spoken to in a long time… But surely Shanks would be willing to help him, right?
