    So it's after the Epic Fantasy War Against An Evil Lord has ended and been won, and all the exciting stuff has died down. And as people are coming home and rebuilding, one human woman finds herself in the position of having to marry one of the defectors from the Evil Overlord's army, and live with him in his castle full of monsters.

    This is fine, probably. It can't hurt, at least. It won't be too strange, maybe.

    Charming characters. I love all the worldbuilding and how easily it’s introduced, especially what’s been said about elves so far. And a main character is a Former Experiment And Fighter, which is like, the best kind of character.
