It’s shameful, all of it. He shouldn’t feel this way, it’s not normal. Nothing about Maki feels normal anymore, the once regular parts of him sparking and burning into something different, something unknown.
Maki is slowly starting to hate himself, each piece of his existence he once understood with certainty is now dripping away, peeling into something he doesn’t recognize.

Nemo’s heart skipped a beat. That was their trophy, a symbol of the day they met, the day they fell in love being the day Nemo won Eurovision. “Yes. I won” The words were shallow, unconfident, as if they were ashamed to say it. Then, the words slipped out. “You were there.”
Silvester’s gaze didn’t waver from the trophy. “I don’t remember it.” It was said so casually, like a forgotten birthday or a movie he’d watched a year ago. The air grew thick with the weight of his words.
