When Dream of the Endless beats Lucifer Morningstar, he finds out his helm is not still in Hell. Someone had switched it with a fake one. His search leads him to the house of an old friend of his and that friend's widow. She doesn't know what to make of him, but she knows she must somehow keep him in her life.
This was supposed to be a collection of scenes but it’s actually become a bit more streamlined and coherent than I originally meant. But I think that makes it better! Not slow burn but not amazingly quick either.
