Once, there was a wandering sōhei of great repute who made a wager with a terrible and deceitful demon. Some say that it was a clever game by the holy man, a years-long strategy to outthink a trickster. Others tell the story differently - claim that it was the demon who won, the sōhei who fell to weakness and temptation. All can agree that the pair were never again seen in the land; no bells heard chiming down the long travelling roads, and never another sighting of smoking steps left in the dirt.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya never planned to walk away from U.A., not until they way everyone treated him like All Might’s successor and treated him like he was fragile. Bakugou’s venom also seeped into every part of his life made even when All Might’s encouragement feel hollow. He wanted to grow, not survive. He finally came to the decision to transfer to Hoshikage Hero Academy. A school publicly known for their strongest hero’s in training. After a brutal solo mock operation, Deku was placed in Class Abyss, known for their dangerous power dynamics and chaotic teamwork, but also known for their loyalty and kindness.
That’s where he met Renjiro Takamine, a boy with warm honey eyes and an unnervingly serene voice. Renjiro’s Quirk, Fear Manifestation, draws the hidden fears out of others and brings them to life only when he focuses his emotions into his quirk and it drags people into their greatest fears. A dangerous quirk. But he’s learned how to control it by hiding his emotions, something he’s mastered at a dangerous cost. The last time he got too close to someone, he nearly destroyed the school. But Deku isn’t afraid. If anything, he wants to know what kind of fear lives behind Renjiro’s calm smile.
