Jacob erupts into laughter, and Della shrinks back into herself. There’s an all-too-familiar fuzz creeping up on the back of her mind, and she tries to push it away; she really, really does! She needs to be a big kid, she needs to listen and be good. She needs to be a good crewmate. It’s so overwhelming between all her tracking, and her tasks, and the meetings, but she needs to try.
Jacob’s laughter dies down, and they clear their throat, waving their hand dismissively. “Della, I wasn’t there. I got teleported, like, three times this round. I don’t know what you saw, but it wasn’t me.”
Della knows they’re lying. She just can’t prove it.

He has to balance his life between a civilian and as a hero delicately, because the government is always on the lookout for anyone with alterations - and he can’t let that happen to him.
Things start to change when a new masked Alter enters the scene, leaving bodies in her wake for what she claims is for the safety of all Omegas. The future of the city is uncertain, but Jacob isn't alone - he has a pack of Cards by his side.
