He dares to glance down at his knees, where he can see Mike’s fingers peeking out from behind his calves (as if he needed that visual reminder that they’re touching), and then back up to meet Mike’s expectant gaze.

That the Lenora house was of course a house, but Hopper’s arms in Kamchatka and his hands keeping her steady in a helicopter over Alaska and being a detective by his side in Hawkins, the most sleepy, most unassuming town in the world—that felt something like home.
