Summary
You're the daughter of the rodeo bootcamp director. You've seen many a boy come and go over the weeks spent at Copper Head Ranch during the summer training sessions - boys come in nervous and rowdy, and leave tough and assured. You just wanted to be left alone with the horses. This summer would be no different. They'd work their asses off for your father, ignore you until they needed their tack cleaned or a stall mucked, and when the air grew crisp, those boys would load up onto a bus to take them back to whatever corner of the world they came from, and you'd never see them again. Never could get used to much of anything at Copper Head - except of course, that you would always get some horrible crush, and slip into a pathetic spiral about its inevitable end before school started in the fall. So when Alex Walter sauntered into the boy's lodge, all classic black Stetson and eighteen dimples per cheek, you once again resigned yourself to adoration from afar. Sure shocked the hell out of you when he kissed you behind the hay bales. And you certainly weren't expecting to lose your virginity to him either. Lord almighty. That kid is gonna be the absolute death of you.
