“You’re right, I’m not your Megumi, but I guess I’m a version of him.” He paused, thinking about how to best explain the absurd situation. Then again, it was Gojo. If anyone understood weird curse stuff it was him. “There was a curse I was fighting. Real creepy, it seemed to feed off doubts about making the wrong choice. It can hop through different universes, like different possible scenarios of reality.” He paused, straining to remember the events of last night. “I exorcised it last night, so this last switch must be the result of residual cursed energy. Hopefully it should only last max 24 hours.” Since it was the final blast of its curse energy, it probably took Megumi to a reality much farther away from his own, which is why he was stuck in the past.
Gojo sat on the edge of his bed. “Damn. So you, Oldgumi are now taking the place of our Megumi for a whole day. That’s hilarious.”

Crazy is a word to describe the most disgusting people, same with insane, same with mentally unstable. That is why Chisaki is not, he is clean, he is tidy and even though he hears people screaming unknown words in his ears, he can realise they are not real and that’s what makes him above. Even when creepy men in alleyways speak grossly towards him or when his dreams leave him shaking, he knows it doesn’t matter and therefore he’s not crazy.
I made my own backstory for Kai Chisaki since he didn’t have a real one. You will get what this story is saying, you don’t have to use a decoder, but it would be inappropriate to throw it in your face so I don’t explicitly say it all.
