"I don't want to do this anymore." Izuku's words hang in the air for only a brief second, if that, before a response comes, easy and light.
"What, deal with paperwork? Because mood," Sero snorts, and it almost brings a smile to Izuku's face. Almost.Because the paperwork is part of it, but there is something so broadly wrong with Izuku's life, and he- he isn't sure how much longer he can deal with it.

"Se-" There's a pause, a single tumbling eon, and Aizawa drinks in every ounce of abyssal terror, the absolute, all-consuming mania, before there's a faint noise behind him, the brush of breath against his hair and sensation of eyes focused upon him, heavy and foreboding.
(Is this what his kid has been feeling the whole time? Has Izuku been so paranoid, with the shadows of his face growing darker, starker, and has he been so genuinely scared this entire while? Has Aizawa focused too much on talking to Nedzu and policemen, and not enough on making sure that Izuku was coping with all of this? The kid had his friends around him constantly, was smiling with them and concentrating well in classes and exercises, but Aizawa had known at least some of it to be fake. Maybe he didn't see through enough of the façade. Maybe he failed his kid. His Problem Child.)
He's being watched, and there's someone behind him.
