Summary
Aether’s just an average professional swimmer, trying to make it big in a competitive field. This isn’t a story about that, though.
He keeps and meticulously maintains a pool in his backyard, not even letting his neighbors use it for five minutes. He finds himself with an unwanted guest anyways, one with strange anatomy and a tragic and nonsensical backstory for the ages.
Faced with secrets he was never meant to know and the rather annoying stubbornness of his new houseguest, Aether needs to figure out the technicalities of living with a merman in his pool while keeping his existence a secret from both his neighbors and the mad scientist out to find him.
Oh, and he’s falling in love with said merman, too. So there’s that.
